Pringle Mailing Contest 2008

Objective:
The objective of this contest is to successfully mail one Pringle potato chip without it breaking. Participants may mail Pringles to KSPE anytime prior to E-Day. The packages will be opened during E-Day at 9:30 AM to see if they have broken. The winning package will be the lightest package received in which the Pringle did not break.

Categories:
There will be two categories for this year’s competition: 1) K-8 Grade students and 2) High school students (grades 9-12).

Prizes:
There will be prizes awarded to 1st and 2nd place in each category.  Prizes can be picked up at the KSPE Student Chapter booth at 11 AM.

Contest rules

  1. Package must include one (1) regular unaltered Pringle potato chip. No more than one chip can be included per package.
  2. Packages containing broken chips will not be considered for the competition.
  3. There are no size specifications for the packaging; however, remember that package weights will be compared to determine winner.
  4. Each package must be mailed using the U.S. Postal System. No packages delivered using UPS, FEDX, or any other carrier will be considered.
  5. Any non-hazardous materials may be used, or Pringle Packers®.
  6. All packages must be received no later than February 22, 2008 .
  7. Packages should be mailed to:

  8. Packages must include return addresses and phone numbers to contact the winners..
  9. The University of Kentucky or its employees are not responsible for lost or misdirected mail.
