Objective:
Construct a paper airplane on site and throw it throw a hula hoop hung from the ceiling. Available materials to be provided are 8.5" x 11" sheets of paper, tape, and safety scissors. Books about paper airplane construction will also be available.

Rules:

1. Airplanes are to be constructed by the contestant at the contest site from the provided materials.
2. To receive a small prize, the contestant must throw the plane through a hoop from a fixed distance (or beyond).
3. The distance required is age dependent, with younger participants making shorter throws.
4. Each contestant may have three attempts with a given plane.
5. Each contestant may build up to three planes, subject to crowd conditions.
6. Each contestant may receive only one small prize even with multiple successful throws.
7. All contestants are allowed to keep the airplanes they have constructed.
8. The contest will be open from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m
