Faculty Positions in Electrical and Computer Engineering :

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Kentucky invites applications from outstanding candidates for tenure track faculty and research faculty positions at all levels. Candidates in Computer Engineering or related areas are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Successful candidates are expected to establish a strong nationally recognized research program and demonstrate effective teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The department has 23 full-time faculty with over $29M in external grants. It plays leading roles in the Center for Nanoscale Science and Engineering (CeNSE), the Center for Visualization and Virtual Environments, and the Center for Manufacturing. The department has strong research programs in nanoelectronics, signal and image processing, computational electromagnetics, computer cluster architectures, computer networking, and embedded systems. Situated in the heart of Kentucky and surrounded by famous horse farms on gently rolling bluegrass hills, Lexington is one of the most desirable places to live and work. The University of Kentucky is the flagship university for the Commonwealth and is classified as a Carnegie Doctoral/Research Extensive university.
