    Jerry Kissick has been a research engineer in KTC’s Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) research group since 2011. His primary research interest lies in planning, researching, implementing, and evaluating ITS-related technology. He helped build a traffic signal lab that employs a Controller Interface Device (CID), which links Type 170 controllers with VISSIM microsimulation software. He is an expert with weigh-in-motion (WIM) technology and with ITS for Commercial Vehicle Operations (CVO). Mr. Kissick has managed multiple Kentucky’s Automated Truck Screening (KATS) systems projects since 2012, working with several agencies and stakeholders to ensure the client’s needs are met. Mr. Kissick earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky. He is a registered professional engineer in the state of Kentucky as well as a licensed Aircraft Maintenance Technician by the Federal Aviation Administration. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the Kentucky Society of Professional Engineers (KSPE).
