Most employers work out a scale based on a combination of the number of work sessions completed and hours completed toward degree. This translates into raises as students progress through work sessions. Thus pay for the first work session of an ME might be $14.00 per hour, pay for the second work session $16.00, and for the final session $18.00.

Employers help in varying degree with relocation expenses. Some pay as much as $1,000 to $2,500 in a single payment. Others subsidize an amount per month.
