Chemical Engineering Curriculum

Special Criteria for University Studies & Supportive Elective

*Selected from University Studies areas in Social Science (6 Credits), Humanities (6 Credits-two courses in a single discipline), Cross Cultural (one course), and Cross-Disciplinary (one pair of courses) in consultation with academic advisor to assure meeting University requirements. In order to determine prerequisites for University Studies and Elective courses, please see General Catalog.

PHY 231 and PHI 251 may be paired to meet the Cross-Disciplinary requirement. Please note that PHI 251 may be difficult to enroll due to limited enrollment each semester.

**Supportive electives are any University courses, excluding more elementary versions of required courses, such as pre-calculus math or PHY 211.

MA 321, 322, 416G, 432G, 433G, 471G, 481G

PHY any above 241

STA 381 and higher

Any engineering course above that required, e.g. above ME 330

BCH 401G, 501, ...PHR 400, ...MSE 212 and above

CME Electives:

Courses recommended as CME Electives are listed below. Other courses will be considered each on its individual merit. CME 395, 402G, 515, 554, 558, 580, 583, and 599.

CHE Elective may be selected from one of the following: CHE 226 or above (Some suggestions are 450G, 510, 580)Same course may not be used for both CHE elective and Technical elective.CME 395 may be repeated as an excess course.
