The department offers separate ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree programs in chemical engineering and materials engineering. The chemical engineering degree is also offered at the UK College of Engineering Extended Campus in Paducah, KY. Both degree programs emphasize broad coverage of scientific and engineering fundamentals and development of the flexible problem solving skills needed for modern engineering practice.

Certificates and degree options

In addition to the core curricula, undergraduates can pursue a number of options and certificate programs. These include the joint BS/MBA program, pre-medical curriculum, biopharmaceutical engineering track and certificates in environmental engineering and nanoscale engineering. Also, highly-qualified students can enroll for graduate credit while completing the B.S. degree through the University Scholars program.
