Professor of Chemical Engineering (Lexington Campus) The
Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at the University of
Kentucky invites applications for a tenure-track chemical engineering faculty
position at the Assistant Professor level with an anticipated start date of
Fall 2010. Applications in all research areas will receive
consideration with preference given to those areas that complement existing
department strengths in biotechnology and biopharmaceutical engineering,
materials synthesis and nanomaterials, energy, and environmental science and
engineering. The
department has 11 full-time faculty in chemical engineering and 7 full-time
faculty in materials science and engineering. The chemical engineering
program has an undergraduate enrollment of 200 students and a graduate
enrollment of 35 students, with the vast majority in our Ph.D. program.
Current research expenditures for the department are approximately $2.5
million per year. Applicants
should have a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with a strong record of research
accomplishments, the capability to develop an active and nationally
recognized research program, and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate
and graduate education. Review of
