This item is likely to change significantly with time. Current
research includes: membrane-based
sorbent for ultra-high
capacity metal sorption, biofunctional
membranes, protein fouling of RO and NF membranes, pervaporation of
organics, organic-membrane
interactions, and site-directed
membrane immobilized enzymes. Dr. Bhattacharyya's graduate student research
group have also done extensive work in the area of Reverse
Osmosis/Nanofiltration and novel
processes for wastewater treatment/destruction. Here are some thoughts
on membrane process selection
procedure for material separations. View our pilot scale, continuous flow,
RO/NF unit
Questions and comments concerning membrane and environmental
research or this lab should be directed to Dr.
D. Bhattacharyya.
