A new University Chapter of the Materials Research Society (MRS) was approved for the University of Kentucky College of Engineering.  MRS, which was founded in 1973, consists of over 15,000 members from the U.S. and also from nearly 70 other countries.  At present, MRS boasts almost 50 active University Chapters throughout the U.S.
