| Dr. Marwan Khraisheh, Mechanical Engineering khraisheh@engr.uky.edu Dr. Marwan Khraisheh is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Kentucky (UK). He obtained his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University. His research interests include advanced manufacturing and materials processing and focuses on manufacturing-mechanics-materials linkage. Dr. Khraisheh is conducting research on sheet metal forming, superplastic forming, friction stir processing and casting. Dr. Khraisheh is a recipient of the prestigious National Science Foundation CAREER Award, the 2004 Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME) Eugene Merchant Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award and the 2003 North American Manufacturing Research Institute (NAMRI) Outstanding Paper Award. Dr. Khraisheh is a member of the following international technical committees: ASME committee on Constitutive Relations, ASME Committee on Manufacturing and Materials Processing, ASM Committee for the Advancement of Superplasticity and Superplastic Forming and the TMS Committee on Mechanical Behavior of Materials. Dr. Khraisheh has edited a proceeding book for ASME and has published more than 28 refereed journal and conference papers in the mechanics-materials-manufacturing areas.
