Career Services

The James W. Stuckert Career Center and the University of Kentucky Alumni Association are proud to offer career consultation services to alumni, either in person, by telephone or by e-mail. One session is complimentary and available to all alumni, regardless of Alumni Association membership status. Additional sessions are available for Alumni Association members only, with a four session limit.

Alumni Career Services can assist you in all phases of your career or job search, including exploring career fields, identifying marketable skills, polishing your resume, refining your interview skills, researching employers, preparing for an on-campus interview or customizing a job search campaign. Alumni Expert Network

Are you an expert? Do you need to find one? The UK Alumni Expert Network is here to help. It connects qualified alumni experts to small Kentucky businesses which can benefit from their expertise in business and technology. Some alumni experts are current or retired business people or technical professionals. Others may be scientists and researchers from academic institutions, national laboratories and research facilities. Still others may be independent and experienced full-time consultants.

All alumni experts agree to donate two hours of free consultation, either by e-mail or telephone. Click here to join the network, or begin searching for an alumni expert to help your small business.

The UK Legacy Initiative

The UK Legacy Initiative provides benefits to the children of UK graduates who are members of the UK Alumni Association. Any child whose mother, father or step-parent has earned a baccalaureate, graduate, doctorate or professional degree from UK and whose parent or step-parent is a member of the UK Alumni Association is eligible to join. During different stages of childhood (birth through 18 years of age), legacies will receive gifts from the Alumni Association to remind them that they are a part of the UK family. Once enrolled at UK, legacy students will have the opportunity to take part in special events and programs. And children of UK graduates who live out of state and meet certain criteria are able to attend UK at discounted tuition rates.
