Bylaws Approved by Membership; Division Logo Adopted
The membership of the Division has ratified proposed changes to the Bylaws, which will now be submitted to CTOC for approval. Additionally, the membership adopted the new logo for the Division as pictured in the header.

REU Listing updated
Mike Cutlip has updated his listing of all the REUs that accept applications from Chemical Engineering students for the summer of 2012. Please pass this link along to your students and colleagues as there are a great variety of opportunities for students to consider this year. Note that some closing dates are coming up soon. Division Approved by CTOC
The AIChE Chemical Technology Operating Council (CTOC), repsonsible for Divisions and Forums within the Institute, removed the probationary status of the Education Division during its Chicago meeting held in conjunction with the AIChE Spring Meeting. This means the Education Division is now considered a permanent Division of the Insitute.

You can join the Division at any time by calling AIChE Customer Service at 1-800-242-4363. If you prefer to join online:
IF YOU HAVE NOT YET RENEWED YOUR MEMBERSHIP FOR 2012: Just add the Division to your renewal by checking the appropriate box on the paper form or by adding the Division to your membership list online before checking out.
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY RENEWED YOUR MEMBERSHIP FOR 2012: Go to AIChE.org and select Divisions & Forums, then click on "Join a Division". A list of all the Divsions and Forums of which you are not a member will appear. If the Education Division appears, select it and join! Note that this page often has problems, in which case you should call AIChE at 1-800-242-4363.
