There are several options for tutoring. Please see the list below or see “Student Services and Activities” in the UK Bulletin for specific details about tutoring and learning service centers.
“The Study” – Peer Tutoring Program
The peer tutoring program offers free peer tutoring in many intro level courses. The Peer Tutoring Program offers proactive assistance. The goal is to enhance students’ academic experience as early and as often as possible. Peer tutors are undergraduate students who are trained and have taken the courses they are tutoring. All tutoring is done on a walk-in basis, so students are welcome to come in (and even bring their study groups) anytime tutoring is available. For location and more information look here: http://www.uky.edu/AE/
Tau Beta Pi
All engineering students are encouraged to take advantage of the FREE tutoring offered every semester in the 1st floor commons of RGAN, Sunday -Thursday, from 3-9 pm each day. Peer tutors that are engineering upperclassmen who have been successful in all levels of pre-engineering and engineering required courses are there to help you. Watch for a notice in the Commons area each semester for an announcement regarding the exact starting date (usually about 2 weeks into the term).
In addition, two helpful online resources for assistance with math are “Paul’s Online Math Notes” (a google search will bring up the website) and “Wolfram Alpha”.
