Engineering students admitted to the University with AP (Advanced Placement) often have been awarded credit for some courses required towards Engineering Standing (e.g. MA 113, MA 114, PHY 231) and UK Core general education requirements. Students are then exempt from taking those courses. Since no grade (only credit) is earned for a specific AP test score, those credits are not calculated into a student’s UK or Engineering GPA.
