Over 20 faculty members in the UK College of Engineering have won NSF CAREER awards and more than one-third are Fellows in one or more professional organizations. Graduate students at UK will also find there are numerous centers and consortia conducting advanced, interdisciplinary research in visualization, power and energy, nano-scale science, transportation, technology commercialization, sustainable manufacturing and more.
Home to Fellowship Winners
The UK College of Engineering strives to provide competitive graduate fellowships to high-performing graduate students and professors often assist students when they apply for prestigious regional and national fellowships. In 2012, civil engineering graduate student Michael McHenry was awarded an exclusive Dwight David Eisenhower Graduate Fellowship for transportation research and mechanical engineering graduate student Mark Miller received a NASA Space Technology Research Fellowship, given to elite researchers advancing aerospace technology.
