We would like to share Nippon Steel's publication of Mr. Futumura-san's face-to-face discussion with Dr. Kozo Saito. The article is currently only available in Japanese, translations may be available later this year.
We would like to extend the sincerest congratulations to Professor Yuji Nakamura, an IR4TD trained reseacher, on his recent recognition from two seperate Japanese agencies as one of the most promising young researchers. He has received the Young Researcher Encouragement Award from the Japan Society of Microgravity and the Young Researcher Encouragement Award from the Combustion Society of Japan. Congratulations Professor Nakamura!
We would like to welcome Dr. Wageh Swelm who is a visiting researcher from Menoufia University, Egypt. Dr. Swelm will be working with us through July, 2009.

The 10th anniversary of the Painting Technology Workshop has been postponed. This program has been a big success every year and we expect big things from the Painting Technology Workshop again in the future but due to the current economic and health safety situations we have decided to reschedule the Workshop to a later date. We will have more information on the website when it becomes available.
