Ilka Balk, Director of Engineering Career Development in the UK College of Engineering, says the career fair gives students seeking full time careers, co-ops and internships a unique advantage.

Job-seeking students have the opportunity to let their first impression and personality steer the hiring process instead of marketing themselves with a resume that was submitted online in a much more anonymous process.

About 80 percent of all UK engineering students gain industry experience before graduation, often as early as sophomore year, Balk says.
