Team Tech
National Student Competition
The Team Tech Student Competition was initiated in 1992 by the
Boeing Company to emphasize the key role
of teamwork in the engineering education process. Industry has recognized
the need to work together in team relati onships, both internally and externally.
This competition focuses on building a team, and challenging that team to
use engineering processes in developing a product.
The UK SWE has been greatly involved in this competition since its beginnings
in 1992. Since that first year the UK SWE has won two First Place National
Awards in this competition and two Second Place Awards. In 1996, UK SWE was
able to send two teams to the national competition. This is one of the most
exciting events sponsored by SWE, and everyone is encouraged to become involved
with UK SWE's Nationally recognized Team Tech Teams this year.
