This is an extra special news of note: our very own SWE advisor, Sue Scheff has become the proud and deserved recipient of WEPAN's Founders Award! This organization, fully called "Women in Engineering Programs & Advocates Network", bestows this award to a single member each year who "exemplifies the spirit of the WEPAN founders through her/his extraordinary service to the organization. Congratulations, Sue!!

    Attention
I have recently taken over Joanna's job of communications director for SWE. She's done a wonderful job; hopefully I can fill her shoes! If you have any ideas, suggestions, or catch any spelling mistakes (English is definitely not my second major) please e-mail: me (Theresa SWE Communications Director) .

The fastest way to keep up with what's going on in SWE is to be subscribed to our listserv. This will keep you posted on the latest meeting times, special events, and anything else that's pertinent to engineering and us!

To subscribe to our listserv, just send an e-mail to swe-request@engr.uky.edu with your e-mail address and something to the effect of "subscribe me to the SWE listserv" in the subject or body. This isn't an automated process, so I'm not picky ;) To unsubscribe, do pretty much the same except say "unsubscribe" and include the address that's currently on the list.

Here's some information on how to get a SWE alias and subscribe to the listserves:

To get a @swe.org alias go to: http://www.swe.org/SWE/reqalias.htm
To subscribe to a listserve go to:http://www.swe.org/SWE/maillist.htm#how
