What is it?
The Buddy Program is SWE’s informal mentoring program, pairing
incoming freshmen with upperclassmen. Big Buddies provide a ready
resource to answer questions regarding college life, classes, and
engineering. We have monthly get-togethers to give everyone the
opportunity to bond and take a break from schoolwork.
What do we do?
The first event is our Annual Photo Scavenger Hunt, where teams of
Buddies explore campus taking pictures of landmarks. Later programs may
include a race day outing to Keeneland,
a trip to Lazer Quest, a Bowling
Night, a Christmas gift exchange, a Games Night, and Ultimate Frisbee.
How do we join?
The first step is to become a proud member of SWE! If you've gotten
that far, just contact Anna Marshall or
Michelle Lucas and let them know you
would like to be a Big Buddy or Little Buddy.
